Some mentally ill people are aware of their condition and recognize that they are experiencing symptoms that are not typical. However, others may not have insight into their illness and may not realize that their thoughts, feelings, or behaviors are abnormal. This lack of awareness is known as anosognosia and can be a common symptom of certain mental illnesses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. It is important for those who are struggling with mental illness to seek professional help and support in order to better understand and manage their condition. **

It is possible for someone to experience physical symptoms as a result of their imagination, a phenomenon known as psychosomatic illness. This occurs when the mind and body are interconnected, and psychological stress or anxiety can manifest as physical symptoms. For example, someone who is extremely anxious about a particular illness may start to experience symptoms of that illness, even though they do not actually have it. In these cases, the mind's perception of illness can actually lead to physical symptoms and illness. However, it is important to note that this is different from intentionally imagining an illness and then actually becoming ill as a result. **
